Independence, Reclaimed.

A private, structured programme delivered personally in your home to restore confidence with everyday technology.

See How The Independence Programme Works

When everyday technology starts to feel difficult

For many people, the challenge isn’t the technology itself.

It’s the loss of confidence that follows.

As routines change through age, illness or shifting circumstances, everyday technology can begin to feel less supportive and more demanding.

Messages bring a moment of doubt.

Online banking involves second-guessing each step.

Even a simple phone call or email may no longer feel straightforward.

Tasks that once felt automatic begin to feel uncertain.

Over time, many people simply start avoiding the technology altogether.

The technology hasn’t become more complicated.

Confidence has quietly eroded.

And when confidence fades, independence often begins to fade with it.

A Clear Path Back To Confidence

Our programme brings clear structure to areas that have started to feel uncertain.

We begin by understanding how technology fits into everyday life - what works well, what feels frustrating, and where confidence has faded.

From there, we simplify what doesn’t need to be complicated and rebuild understanding step by step through practical, in-person sessions.

The goal isn’t to introduce more devices.

It is to make the ones already in place work properly.

When things feel clear and manageable again, confidence returns.

Building Lasting Confidence.

The Independence Programme is delivered through seven structured sessions, each lasting around 90 minutes, in your home.

Together they bring clear structure back to areas that have started to feel uncertain.

Each session builds on the last.

Skills are reinforced.

Confidence grows.

Reliance on others reduces.

The focus is not on introducing more technology.

It is on helping the technology already in place work clearly, reliably and confidently in everyday life.

Over time, things that once felt frustrating begin to feel natural again.

The outcome is simple.

You feel more capable, more confident and more in control.

Families feel reassured that independence is being protected.

Who You’re Inviting Into Your Home

Hello, I'm Jack - Founder of NextStep

NextStep is delivered personally by me, not a rotating team.

Before creating NextStep, I spent 14 years at Apple, specialising in supporting customers with accessibility needs and older adults experiencing challenges with technology day-to-day.

During that time I saw how quickly confidence with technology can narrow when devices begin to feel uncertain or overwhelming.

I also saw how independence can return when the right kind of patient, structured guidance is provided.

NextStep was created to bring that same calm, practical support directly into people’s homes.

The goal is simple:

Restore confidence with everyday technology so independence can continue.

Start With A Conversation

Conversations usually take around 30 minutes and can be arranged at a time that suits you.

There is no obligation.

It’s simply an opportunity to talk through your situation and see whether the Independence Programme would genuinely be helpful.

If it isn’t, I will say so.

If it is, we can discuss the next step.
